Santa Cruz Training Programs, Inc. provides transportation for all its members. We owe our thanks to support from SEAGO and also from the Santa Cruz County Arc.
Because of the support, we provide mobility adapted vehicles for people with mobility restrictions. Our vehicles accommodate limited mobility by using lifts and secure tie down locations for wheelchair or walkers. Families may request transportation as part of the service for a son or daughter. Transportation is a round trip service, so the driver can pick up and drop off a member at home.
When members attend our Day Programs, they may travel even more within the community. Our DTTA, a social and life skills program, have various volunteer sites in the community and members have planned trips for fun. Our GSE, a work employment program, use the vehicles to sell baked and cooked food from our Cafe as well as work as a groundskeeping crew within the community.
24/7 transportation is part of our service to our residents in the group homes.
